Jens Krumpe (born January 31, 1978 in Potsdam ) is a German geo-computer scientist and politician . In 2014 he moved into the Thuringian state parliament for the AfD . In May 2015 he resigned from the AfD parliamentary group, and in July 2015 from the party. He lost his mandate in the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 .

Life

Krumpe completed an apprenticeship as a surveying technician from 1994 to 1997 and was then employed in an engineering office until 2001. From 2002 to 2006 he studied geoinformatics at the Jade University ; From 2007 to 2009 she completed a master’s degree at the University of Salzburg . Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance software engineer and as an employee at federal, state and local level in the field of e-government . From March to August 2011 he was an employee of the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation Thuringia, then until September 2012 research assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in the department of computer science / remote sensing. He then worked as an employee at the city administration of Erfurt until his election to the Thuringian state parliament.

Krumpe has a son and lives in Erfurt .

politics

Krumpe sets his political priorities in network politics and the digital society . He advocates open government and administrative action. In September 2014, he moved into the Thuringian state parliament via the AfD's state list . Krumpe was network policy spokesman for the AfD regional association in Thuringia .

In March 2015, because of personal and political differences, he announced his withdrawal from the AfD state board, to which he was a member. Together with MPs Oskar Helmerich and Siegfried Gentele , who was expelled from the AfD parliamentary group in April 2015 , he opposed the Erfurt resolution initiated by the state and parliamentary group chairman Björn Höcke . On May 13, 2015, his group decided to "exempt" him from participating in group meetings for the time being. Together with Helmerich and Gentele, he joined the Weckruf association founded by party leader Bernd Lucke in 2015 . A few days after Oskar Helmerich, on May 29, 2015, he announced his resignation from the AfD parliamentary group. He also resigned from the party in July 2015.
