Stations
Jens Langeneke began his professional career in 2000 at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . He had previously played in his hometown for SV Lippstadt. In 2003 he moved to VfL Osnabrück and after just one year to LR Ahlen . He played there until 2006 before moving to Fortuna Düsseldorf in July . There Langeneke played as a defender in central defense. In the 2010/11 season, Langeneke was Fortuna's most successful goalscorer as a defender with eight goals, including seven converted penalties. In the following season 2011/12 he converted seven penalties in the first half of the season alone and also won the autumn championship of the second division with Düsseldorf. At the end of the season, third place in the table and the subsequent nerve-wracking relegation games against Hertha BSC were enough for promotion to the Bundesliga. During the summer break of 2012, he extended his expiring contract for another year until 2013.
After his contract expired, Langeneke moved to the second team (U-23) of Fortuna for the 2013/14 season , in which he had already helped out twice in the fourth-class Regionalliga West in the previous season. In the summer of 2015, at the age of 38, after nine years at Fortuna Düsseldorf, he ended his active career in the U-23 and has been a trainer at the Fortuna junior performance center ever since.
