Jens Pecho (* 1978 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a contemporary German artist.

Life

Jens Pecho first studied sociology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt . From 2006 he studied media arts at the Art Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and from 2010 to 2011 free arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. He lives and works in Berlin .

In his work, Pecho deals with the relationship between emotional states and their linguistic communicability. In doing so, he investigates the hidden sub-texts of our cultural landscape and society, which is shaped by the culture and pop industry, in order to reveal them. The artist is active in multimedia; his work includes texts as well as sound installations, videos and objects.

The young artist's previous successes included the work day in / day out, which was shown on the facade of the Bundeskunsthalle in 2010 and made him known to a wider audience. His short film Medley was shown at the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen and the International Short Film Festival in Uppsala , among others .
