Jens Stötzel

Jens Stötzel (born February 1973 in Mudersbach ) is a German local politician and was mayor of the association churches (Sieg) from 2010 to 2017 .

Life

In 1989, Stötzel began training as an administrative clerk at the municipal administration of churches (Sieg). In 2003 he graduated from the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Rhineland-Palatinate and in 2005 became head of department at the municipal administration of churches (Sieg).

In addition to his duties at the local authority administration , he works as an examiner for the examination subject of local law in the career examinations of the middle and senior service at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Stötzel is married and has a daughter.

Stötzel is non-party.

In the local elections on June 7, 2009, he was elected full-time mayor of the association churches (Sieg) with a narrow majority . He took office on January 1, 2010 and replaced Wolfgang Müller ( CDU ), who had retired . Stötzel is the youngest mayor of an association municipality in the Altenkirchen district (Westerwald) . In the mayoral election on September 24, 2017, Stötzel was not re-elected.
