Jeremy Schonfeld

Jeremy Schonfeld (born January 30, 1970 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is a singer, songwriter and musical composer. His songs are influenced by tuneful pop , hard-edged rock , gospel , soul and blues as well as by Billy Joel and Jonathan Larson .

Life

Schonfeld attended the Berklee College of Music and gained experience in the BMI Lehman-Engel Musical Theater Workshop .

He began his career creating the future film "Clear Blue Tuesday", which revolves around the journey of eleven actors in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City. In 2005 the musical "Drift" by Schonfeld and Craig Pospisil premiered at the New York Musical Theater Festival . It had been revised by 2006 and was re-performed at the New York Musical Theater Festival.

Other theater projects such as "Ministry of Progress" at the Jane Street Theater (composer / text); Home at the Minetta Lane (book / music / text); and Letters to Katrina and Letters to Baghdad (songwriter / actor), both with the Winter Harbor Theater Company (Portland ME). Schonfeld also contributed the text and the composition for the musical A-Train.

As an actor he played in Joe's Pub; Birdland; Ars nova; BB King's; Lincoln Center; Juilliard Opera Theater; Symphony space; CBGBs; Southpaw. He is the owner of the "Club's only right-handed". He has worked as a music director and a performer for celebrity guests at The Broadway Dreams Foundation on performances in the United States.

Albums

In 2000 he released an album called Blue Skies , which only contains songs that he wrote and composed.

In May 2008, he released an album entitled 37 Notebooks , the songs of which were sung by well-known Broadway singers.

The album for the musical Drift was released on Sh-K-Boom Records.
