Jeroen Gies (born January 23, 1995 in Bothel ) is a German - Dutch soccer player .

Career

The son of a Dutch and a German moved to the youth department of Werder Bremen in the summer of 2007 after starting out as a youth at TuS Bothel . After playing one season for Bremen's third team, he moved to FC Groningen's second team in the Netherlands in the summer of 2014 . In the summer of 2016 he moved back to Germany to the regional league team SV Meppen . With this club he was promoted to the 3rd division at the end of the 2016/17 season . It was there that he made his first professional appearance when he came on for Erik Domaschke in the 56th minute of the game on March 31, 2018, the 32nd matchday, in the 2-0 away win against SC Fortuna Köln . In the summer of 2020 he moved to the Regionalliga Nordost for 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig .
