Jerrod Niemann
Jerrod Lee Niemann (born July 23, 1979 in Harper , Kansas ) is an American country singer.
biography
Even in his youth, Niemann took part in talent competitions and during his college days in Texas he performed in local clubs. He released his first album Long Hard Road in 1999 in self-production before moving to the country capital Nashville. After only a year he got a record deal with Mercury, which however did not lead to a release, and so his second album Jukebox of Hard Knocks was released in 2004 on his own.
In the following years he performed with his own band in Nashville and released the single I Love Women (My Mama Can't Stand) on the Category 5 Records label, which broke up before an album was released. After all, the single got him an engagement with Arista. There, in 2010, his first label album was finally released, entitled Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury . The pre-release single Lover, Lover was a huge success and reached number 1 on the country charts. It sold over half a million times and was awarded gold . The album then also made it to number 1 on country albums and in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 .
