Gerald Kristin "Jerry" Evans (born September 28, 1968 in Lorain , Ohio ) is a former American American football player. He played for three seasons on the tight end position of the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Evans was selected in the eighth round of the 1991 NFL Draft as the 204th player by the Phoenix Cardinals . On August 27, 1991, he was released from the Cardinals. On April 2, 1992, he was released from the World League of American Football by the Barcelona Dragons . From 1993 to 1995 he played 43 games in three seasons, 18 of them from the start, for the Denver Broncos . He caught 25 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He fumbled once and kicked back six yards.
