Jerry Spinelli
Jerry Spinelli (born February 1, 1941 in Norristown , Pennsylvania ) is an American youth author. His committed youth books have received several awards, including the Newbery Medal (1991). In 1998, Wringer (German: pigeon hunt ) was also on the list of honor for this US children's book award. Taubenjagd was the first of his books to be translated into German.
