Jerzy Gorzelik
Jerzy Gorzelik (born October 25, 1971 in Zabrze ) is a Polish art historian and regional politician, chairman of the movement for the autonomy of Silesia .
He studied art history at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow . As a student he worked in Solidarność Walcząca ( Fighting Solidarity ), an extreme part of Solidarność . In 1999 he obtained his doctorate from the University of Wroclaw . He teaches at the Silesian University in Katowice , where he works as an adjunct . He publishes articles in the field of art history in regional and scientific press.
In the movement for the autonomy of Silesia he was press spokesman and head of the regional district in Katowice. He has been chairman of the movement since 2003.
