Jerzy Jaruga

Jerzy Jurek Jaruga (born April 9, 1952 in Łódź , Poland ) is a Polish cameraman , set designer, film author and media designer.

Life

After attending an art school, Jaruga studied camera and television directing at the State Film, Television and Theater School in Łódź . He completed his studies in 1976 with a master's degree in art. In 1982 he passed the state examination as a set designer and graphic artist. In 1984 he moved to Germany. In 1996 he was a freelance lecturer at the Media Academy in Augsburg in the field of camera. From 2003 to 2008 he was a freelance lecturer at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich, specializing in working with the camera / theater in front of the camera. In 2013 he received his doctorate in the field of film art at the Film, TV and Theater School in Łódź.

Jaruga is married and has two sons.
