Jesús Molina (born March 29, 1988 in Hermosillo , Sonora ) is a Mexican football player who initially acted in defense and has been used mainly in defensive midfield since 2011 .

Life

Molina began his career with his hometown club Búhos de Hermosillo FC . He moved to the Tigres de la UANL , for which he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División on August 24, 2007 in the away game against the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz (1: 2), which he was allowed to contest over the full distance.

Although he was still in the position of defender at the time, he scored six goals in 13 appearances in the 2010 Torneo Bicentenario .

Before the 2011/12 season, Molina moved to the capital city club América , with which he won the championships of the Clausura 2013 and the Apertura 2014 . For the 2015 Clausura he went to Club Santos Laguna , with which he was again champion.

From 2010 to 2013 Molina played a total of seven times for the Mexican national team and was also part of the Mexican squad at the 2013 Confederations Cup .
