Jesper Arvidsson (born January 1, 1985 ) is a Swedish football player . The defender , who played for the Swedish U21 national team in 2006 , won the Swedish championship title with IF Elfsborg in the 2006 season.

Career

Arvidsson started playing football at Götene IF . In 2000 the defensive player left the club from Västergötland and moved to the youth department of the multiple Swedish national champions IF Elfsborg. At the club from Borås he went through the individual youth teams and moved up in the course of the 2003 season in the squad of the men's team, without being used in the Allsvenskan .

During the 2005 season , coach Magnus Haglund Arvidsson used for the first time in the first division. As a supplementary player, he came to four season appearances during the season. Also in the following season he was used irregularly, in four more games he contributed to winning the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish championship. At the same time, he had played his way to the beginning of the season in the squad of the Swedish U21 team, in which he made his debut under the coaches Tommy Söderberg and Jörgen Lennartsson on February 28, 2006 in the 0-1 defeat against the Irish junior national team. Similar to the club, he could not fight for a regular place in the selection team.

In order to gain more match practice, IF awarded Elfsborg Arvidsson to Åtvidabergs FF in the second-rate Superettan . From the second division season in 2007 he was one of the club's regulars and missed only three league games in two years. Thereupon it was reported that top division clubs were interested in signing the defender, who was under contract until 2010. Ultimately, a change did not materialize and Arvidsson was awarded another year to Åtvidabergs FF.
