Jesper Petersen (born April 2, 1951 - † August 29, 2016 ) was a Danish football player .

Life

After Jesper Petersen had played for Helsingør IF in his home country , he came to Germany and worked for FC Rodalben before moving to the 2nd Bundesliga South for FC 08 Homburg in 1975 . After half a year he had a regular position here, which he kept from now on. 1981 Homburg missed the qualification for the now single-track 2nd Bundesliga and thus rose to the Oberliga Südwest . In 1984 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 1986 FC Homburg became champions of the second division and was promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time . After the master's year, however, Petersen ended his professional career. In total, he was used at FCH in 327 point games and scored 14 goals. Petersen then worked as a player-coach at SV Ixheim in Zweibrücken .

Jesper Petersen stayed in Germany after his career as a football player, last lived in Pirmasens and died on August 29, 2016.
