Jesse Pintado

Jesse Pintado (born July 12, 1969 , † August 27, 2006 in the Netherlands ) was an American electric guitarist .

biography

Jesse Pintado began his career in 1987 as a founding member of Terrorizer . Oscar Garcia brought him into the as yet nameless band around 1985 because he noticed Pintado with his Iron Maiden T-shirt, and Pintado taught himself to play the guitar during his first time at Terrorizer. In 1989 he switched to Napalm Death after the band broke up early . He is considered a pioneer of his genre and influenced a whole generation of bands with his sound. In 2004 he left Napalm Death to reactivate Terrorizer. Together with his napalm death colleague Shane Embury , Pintado was also active in the deathgrind project Lock Up .

He died of liver failure at the age of 37 in the Erasmus MC Hospital at Erasmus University Rotterdam . In his honor, Earache Records released a sampler called In Memory of Jesse Pintado , which was offered for free download .
