Jessica Shufelt (born May 29, 1990 in Rochester , New York ) is a former American football player and coach.
Career
From 2009 to 2010 Shufelt played for the W-League participant Rochester Ravens . For the 2011 season she moved to league rivals Ottawa Fury Women and won the championship with this in 2012. In early 2013, Shufelt was committed to position 40 by Portland Thorns FC in the fifth round of the NWSL - Supplemental Draft . She made her league debut on May 12, 2013 against the Chicago Red Stars . On July 11, 2013, Portland announced the termination of its contract with Shufelt. This was necessary in order to meet the NWSL regulations for the upcoming engagement of the US national player Tobin Heath .
On July 23, 2013, Damallsvenskan participant Mallbackens IF announced the commitment of the two Americans Blakely Mattern and Jessica Shufelt. After Mallbacken's relegation at the end of the 2013 season, she left the club and moved to the French first division club FF Yzeure Allier Auvergne at the beginning of 2014 , with whom, however, she had to accept the immediate relegation from Division 1 Féminine .
In August 2014, Shufelt became the assistant coach of Keuka College 's women's soccer team , the Keuka Wolves . There she moved up to head coach after the 2016 season.
