Shown is a day on the US aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10) , which also known as The Fighting Lady or The Lucky Y changed its name. Yorktown operated in the Pacific during World War II . She became famous for participating in the Battle of the Marshall Islands , the Battle of the Mariana Islands and the Battle of the Philippine Sea .
