Yevgeny Alexandrovich Dubrovin ( Russian Евгений Александрович Дубровин ; born January 27, 1986 in Omsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player .

Career

Yevgeny Dubrovin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Avangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2002 to 2005 . In the 2004/05 season he came parallel to his debut in professional ice hockey for the HK Lipetsk , for whom he played in the Vysschaya League in 21 games. From 2005 to 2008 the defender played regularly for the professional team of HK Awangard Omsk in the Superliga , the highest Russian division. At the same time, he continued to occasionally play for the club's second team in the Pervaya League during this period.

For the 2008/09 season Dubrowin moved to HK Sibir Novosibirsk from the newly established Continental Hockey League . At HK Sibir, however, he was not able to assert himself permanently in the following years and only played nine times in the KHL, with no points. At the same time, he ran for the second division Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg . After Awtomobilist was accepted into the KHL for the 2009/10 season , the club finally signed the Russians. In October 2011 he joined the HK Donbass Donetsk from the new second Russian division, the Wysschaja Hockey League .
