Yevgeny Serafimowitsch Lovchew
Yevgeny Serafimowitsch Lovchew ( Russian Евгений Серафимович Ловчев ; born January 29, 1949 in Krjukowo, Moscow Oblast ) is a former Soviet football player and football coach.
From 1969 to 1978 Lovchev played as a defender for Spartak Moscow , with this team he was Soviet champion in 1969 and Soviet cup winner in 1971 . In 1972 he was voted Soviet Footballer of the Year . From 1979 to 1980 he played for Dynamo Moscow and in 1980 for Krylja Sowetow Samara .
Between 1969 and 1977 Lovchev completed 52 games for the Soviet national team and took part in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , he won the bronze medal with the Soviet team.
After his active career, he coached lower-class Soviet clubs in the 1980s. He later made a name for himself as a futsal coach and coached the Russian national futsal team from 2001 to 2003 .
