Yevgeny Yevgenyevich Nesterenko
Jewgeni Jewgenjewitsch Nesterenko ( Russian Евгений Евгеньевич Нестеренко ; born January 8, 1938 in Moscow ) is a Russian opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Nesterenko was a soloist at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater , the Metropolitan Opera and the Covent Garden Opera . He is considered one of the leading bass representatives of his generation.
He also taught as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory from 1975 to 1993 and at the Vienna Conservatory from 1993 to 2003 . Currently he is a consultant at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. His students include Filip Bandžak , László Polgár , Gábor Bretz , Konrad Huber , Andreas Hirsch (Austria).
