Jewhenij Wiktorowytsch Zymbaljuk ( Ukrainian Євгеній Вікторович Цимбалюк * May 30, 1972 in Magdeburg ) is a Ukrainian diplomat . Since July 1, 2019, he has been the permanent representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna .

Life

Zymbaljuk studied history, political science and foreign languages ​​(German and English) at the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev (1989–1994) and at the National Linguistic University of Kiev (1994–1996).

In 1993 he entered the diplomatic service of Ukraine. From October 2015 to June 2018 he was Ukraine's ambassador to Kenya , Rwanda , Tanzania and the Comoros , based in Nairobi . He also represented Ukraine in the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and in the United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat). Subsequently, until April 2019, he was First Deputy Head of the Directorate for Strategic Planning and Operational Support of the Presidential Administration of the President of Ukraine , and from May to June 2019, for a short time, Deputy Director General of the Department for International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Head of the OSCE Department .

Since July 1, 2019, Zymbaljuk has been the permanent representative of Ukraine to the international organizations in Vienna.

Zymbaljuk is married and has one daughter.
