The Jezioro Sarbsko (German: Sarbsker See or Sarsener See , Kashubian : Jezoro Sôrbskò ) is a beach lake on the Baltic Sea in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .
The origin of the lake is explained by the current of the Baltic Sea running across the coast. In the process, a spit formed , which over time separated the present lake from the Baltic Sea.
The lake has several smaller tributaries, including the Chełst (German: Chaustbach ), which flows through the lake and forms its only surface drain. The Chaustbach flows into the city Leba ( Leba ) at the river Leba , just before it flows into the Baltic. The lake is about half a meter above sea level in the Baltic Sea. Its maximum depth is 3.2 meters and its average depth is 1.2 meters, its surface extends over an area of 6.51 km², its capacity is approximately 7.82 million m³, its catchment area covers about 213.3 km² .
The village of Nowęcin ( Neuhof ) and the northeastern part of the city of Łeba are located directly on the lake . The eponymous village of Sarbsk ( Sarbske ) is about 1.2 kilometers from the southeastern bank.
