Jiří Melcl
Melcl Jiří (also Georg Meltzel ; Georg Melcelius ; Meltzelius , Moltzel ; * 1624 in Bischofteinitz , † March 31, 1693 in Prague ) was a Bohemian composer.
Melcl was a member of the Premonstratensian Order and from 1663 to 1669 choir regent at the Benedict Church in Prague. Afterwards he worked in Saaz and the monasteries Milevsko and Strahov .
He composed masses , Vespers , Requiem and Te Deum , which have come down to us in the Kremsier manuscript collection .
