Jim Delaney
Francis James "Jim" Delaney (born March 1, 1921 in Butte , Montana , † April 2, 2012 in Santa Rosa ) was an American shot putter .
In 1947 he became US champion. The following year, he qualified with his personal best of 16.81 m for the London Olympics , where she won the silver medal with 16.68 meters (gold and bronze went to his countrymen Wilbur Thompson with 17.12 m and Jim Fuchs with 16.42 m) and defended his US title.
