Jim Gaines

Jim Gaines (actually James Larry M. Gaines Jr .; born May 18, 1955 in Maui , Hawaii ) is an American actor, screenwriter and film director, who later also received the Filipino citizenship.

Life

Gaines, son of an embassy official, appeared in a series of action films made in the Philippines in the 1980s that were filmed in Southeast Asia following the success of Apocalypse Now . He has appeared several times alongside Mike Monty , Richard Harrison , Nick Nicholson and Bruce Baron , and has often worked with directors such as Teddy Page and Romano Kristoff . The films were also made in American, Italian or international production.

Most recently, the African American Gaines was seen in Bruno Mattei's exploitation works , which were created shortly before his death .

Gaines wrote some of his films himself; he has also worked as a producer and director of several films.
