Jim Gilstrap

James "Jim" Gilstrap (born November 10, 1946 ) is an American singer from Texas who has sung primarily as a background singer (for example for Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson ).

A very popular Gilstrap song is Swing Your Daddy , which was released in 1974 and made it into the top ten of the charts . Was written Swing Your Daddy by British songwriter Kenny Nolan .

Gilstrap was also a backing singer in the 1978 film Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John .
