Jo-Ann Strauss

Jo-Ann Strauss (born February 3, 1981 in Cape Town ) is a South African model and presenter . She won the Miss South Africa in 2000 and represented South Africa in the Miss World competition in Puerto Rico .

Life

Strauss completed a law degree at the University of Stellenbosch . She then hosted the TV show Pasella and the lifestyle magazine Top Billing , for which she interviewed Charlize Theron , Antonio Banderas and George Clooney , among others . She was a cover girl on many South African magazines.

On ZDF , she reported on the 2010 World Cup about South Africa after hosting a live concert from Johannesburg together with Thomas Gottschalk before the 2010 World Cup opening game on June 10th . Strauss is in a relationship with a Munich resident and speaks fluent German. She herself has Alsatian ancestors.

Prizes and awards

  • In 2000 she was named Miss South Africa.
  • Strauss won the South African "Duku-Duku" award for the most stylish television presenter.
