The Joachim Ringelnatz Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Cuxhaven .

The foundation was established in summer 2001. The aim of the Joachim Ringelnatz Foundation is to promote the collection and maintenance of the artist's estate in order to look after it scientifically and make it publicly accessible. It runs the Joachim Ringelnatz Museum in Cuxhaven , which is reminiscent of Joachim Ringelnatz , who was stationed in the city as a marine during the First World War .

The foundation acquired watercolors , oil paintings and drawings ; some of the works of art were made available to her on permanent loan . The foundation also maintains an archive and promotes scientific and journalistic work on the literary and visual artistic work of Joachim Ringelnatz. The foundation organizes lectures and supports exhibitions on Ringelnatz's contemporaries, such as George Grosz in 2008 . Recent events also included the presentation of the special stamp on the 125th birthday of Joachim Ringelnatz by the Federal Ministry of Finance in August 2008.

The work of the foundation is supported by the Ringelnatz Society, also based in Cuxhaven . V.
