Joachim Ahlemann

Joachim Ahlemann (born July 12, 1875 in Zeitz , † November 30, 1934 in Schkeuditz ) was a German Protestant pastor and writer.

Life

He was the son of pastor Hugo Ahlemann in Zeitz and a descendant of the councilor - and noble family Alemann from Magdeburg . After attending the humanistic collegiate high school in Zeitz, he studied Protestant theology at the University of Halle and initially became a private tutor . His ordination first as assistant preacher and then as pastor took place in 1903 and 1904 in Zeyer near Danzig. As a Protestant clergyman, however, he was not tolerated there permanently and went back again. In 1911 he became general secretary of the Evangelical Unionin Berlin and from 1913 held various pastoral positions within the ecclesiastical province of Saxony : first in Borcke, from 1914 in Groß Mansdorf, from 1916 in Kuhnsee, from 1920 at the Nikolaikirche in Eilenburg , from 1925 in Eickendorf . Most recently, he was superintendent in Schkeuditz from 1930 . At the same time he was the editor of the Heimatkirche magazine.

In his spare Joachim Ahlemann written several beautiful spiritual works, some of which are laid today.
