Joachim Ditzen-Blanke

Joachim Ditzen-Blanke (born December 13, 1925 in Bremen ; † August 29, 2019 in Bremerhaven ) was a German newspaper publisher.

Life

Joachim Blanke was born in 1925 as the son of a judge and was later adopted by the publisher Kurt Ditzen . After studying law and economics in Würzburg and Kiel , which he completed with a doctorate ("The development of the Bremen judiciary and its control of the administration in the 19th century. At the same time, an investigation into the basis of § 15 of the Bremen constitution v. 1854. "), he worked as a lawyer in Bremen from 1954.

In 1965 he came to Bremerhaven as Ditzen's successor and worked for Ditzen's newspaper publisher. Since 1970 he has been the publisher of the Bremerhaven Nordsee-Zeitung . In 1997 his wife Roswitha Ditzen-Blanke , née Jung (1951–2012) took over the management of the publishing house, followed by their adoptive son Matthias Ditzen-Blanke .

Ditzen-Blanke was also President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bremerhaven from 1979 to 1989 . The establishment of the German Emigration Center (2005) is largely thanks to his initiative and commitment .
