Joachim Fugmann (born June 2, 1956 in Konstanz ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

Fugmann studied history and Latin studies in Konstanz from 1976 to 1982 and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD.

From 1982 to 1995 he worked as an editorial assistant in the DFG project " Handbook of Latin Literature of Antiquity " (edited by Reinhart Herzog and Peter L. Schmidt ) at the Universities of Konstanz and Mainz .

In 1989 he was awarded the City of Konstanz Prize for the promotion of young scientists at the University of Konstanz .

Since October 1995 he has been teaching special tasks at the University of Konstanz and gives Latin courses for students of all disciplines as well as subject-specific events for historians, lawyers, ancient and new philologists.
