Joachim Galuska (born November 16, 1954 in Opole , Upper Silesia ) is a German psychiatrist , psychotherapist and former entrepreneur .

Life

After graduating from high school in Düsseldorf , Galuska studied medicine and psychology at the University of Düsseldorf . In 1980 he received his license to practice medicine and received a doctorate in medicine.

After several years of assistantship in various hospitals and teaching assignments at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in the field of social pedagogy , he acquired the additional title of "Psychotherapy" in 1985. In 1986 he finished his training as a specialist in psychiatry . In 1994 he was awarded the title of specialist in psychotherapeutic medicine (today: psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy) from the Bavarian State Medical Association, as well as authorization to continue training in the field of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy.

Founding of his own clinic

During his management activity in a psychosomatic clinic in Bad Zwesten from 1987 to 1988, Galuska developed an independent clinic concept that focuses on the holistic nature of the human being and incorporates spirituality . He was able to realize his concept from August 1990 as chief physician and later as medical director and co-operator of the Heiligenfeld clinics for psychosomatic medicine in Bad Kissingen . Together with the hotelier Fritz Lang, he founded the Heiligenfeld Specialist Clinic in 1990, where patients with psychosomatic illnesses can be treated according to a holistic and integrative human concept.

Further training in various areas

In addition to working for her own company, Galuska completed numerous training courses. In 2000 he received the qualification certificate from the Bavarian State Medical Association for quality management . With the Master of Business Administration , he completed a degree in business administration for doctors at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences in 2002 and a year later he was recognized as a KTQ Visitor. He has also completed training in depth psychological psychotherapy , gestalt therapy , integrative therapy and orgodynamics as well as in Buddhist meditation and is, among other things, an authorized meditation teacher.

Others

Galuska was a co-founder in 1992 and is now an honorary advisory board member of the Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) Germany, in 1999 he was co-founder of the German College for Transpersonal Psychology and Psychotherapy and co-founder of the Spiritual Venture Network.

In 1995 he founded the journal Transpersonal Psychologie und Psychotherapie , today the journal Consciousness Sciences , of which he was editor together with Edith Zundel for over two decades.

In 1999 he was co-founder and for a number of years spokesman for the Directors' Conference of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in Bavaria and a member of the expert group "Acute inpatient care for patients with psychosomatic illnesses" of the Bavarian Ministry of Health and the working group of health insurance associations.

In 2000 he was a co-founder of the Heiligenfeld e. V.

In 2008 he founded the Main-Rhön psychosomatic supply network, which received the Bavarian Health Prize in 2013.

As the founder of the Consciousness Sciences Foundation in 2009 , Galuska is also dedicated to consciousness research , which in a holistic sense includes both individual and collective consciousness and their biological and cultural foundations. The foundation promotes the application and implementation of the essential results of applied consciousness sciences in technologies and forms of design of a psychological, social and technical nature.

In 2010 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

Galuska also founded the Heiligenfeld Academy, which is dedicated to both medical and economic education, training and further education, and offers congresses and symposia on essential topics in medicine and business .

On May 31, 2019, he left the management of Heiligenfeld Kliniken GmbH.
