Joachim Georg Elsner (also Joachimus Georgius Elsner , born June 4 or 17, 1642 in Breslau ; † May 3, 1676 ibid) was a German physician and city ​​physician in Breslau.

Life

Joachim Georg Elsner studied medicine with Caspar Posner at the University of Jena from 1662 and in Leiden from 1664 . He then worked as a doctor and city physician in Breslau.

On September 19, 1672 Joachim Georg Elsner was registered under the registration number. 47 as a member of the Academia Naturae Curiosorum , today's German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina .

Elsner married Euphrosyne Monica Sachs von Löwenheim (1645–1752) in 1665. The family was raised to the nobility in 1693 for their special achievements in the war against the Turks.
