Work description

The poetry of Joachim G. Hammer extends over decades on the one hand, in terms of the feeding in of motifs and moments, on the other hand it realizes temporally limited microcosms and treats them like pixels of a larger whole. The volumes of poetry can be read like annually written and edited logbooks that react to the zeitgeist by encountering it on a linguistic level of microbes.

The connection of scientific material with the laws of poetry is what makes this poetry unique. 17-silver is used, which snake like molecular chains through the microscope, which is supplied with the reader. Sound lantern , shadow flute , winter moth , darkness sun I are book titles that already mitliefern those key that is needed to unlock the poems.

Synesthesia , dedication and artificial intelligence are repeatedly used as lyrical means. In doing so, musical and optical sensations of the lyrical self are linked. A dedication to contemporary lyricists (for example for Helwig Brunner , Christine Huber or Hannes Vyoral ) links the individual poem with the lyrical cosmos of a soulmate. Finally, artificial intelligence evolves from the worn-out poetic sequences and continues seamlessly where the classic author has withdrawn.

The motto from the volume Klanglaterne gives an indication of how this poetry might be read: Woke up as a butterfly / saw unimaginable / new colors for which you / desperately looked for words.
