Joachim Hentze

Joachim Hentze (born June 23, 1940 in Rechlin ) is a German economist .

Life

Hentze was born in 1940 as the son of an engineer. After graduating from high school, he first completed an internship at Preussag lasting several months . In 1961 he began studying business administration and business education at the Technical University of Hanover , which he continued at the University of Innsbruck and the Georg-August University of Göttingen . After graduating as a commercial teacher (1966), he became a research assistant at the business administration seminar of the TU Hannover, where he worked in 1969 at the faculty of humanities and political science with the thesis quantitative and qualitative analysis of the structure of business activities with a view to planning needs , the coverage of needs and the deployment of personnel. With special consideration of the commercial activities for Dr. rer. pole. received his doctorate.

From 1970 to 1971 he was Rector's Assistant and from 1972 to 1973 he was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Political Sciences. In 1974 he became professor for corporate management at the Institute for Economics at the Technical University of Braunschweig . In 1985 he completed his habilitation at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . He was visiting professor in the USA, China and Eastern Europe. At the Technical University of Sofia , he founded a German-language economics course.

Hentze is married.
