Joachim Hunger (born September 26, 1957 in Kiel , † February 9, 1990 in Berlin ) was a German regatta sailor and medic .

biography

After Joachim Hunger's father bought an optimist in 1968 , Joachim Hunger and his brothers Wolfgang and Klaus began to gain experience in sailing on the Kiel Fjord . When the family moved from Hanover to Berlin in 1970, the brothers sailed on the Wannsee .

Together with his brother Wolfgang took Joachim hunger at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and 1988 in Seoul in part. Both times the brothers started together in regattas with the 470 dinghy . However, they missed the medal ranks with places 4 (1984) and 5 (1988). At the World Sailing Championships Joachim Hunger and his brother won the silver medal with the 470 dinghy in 1983 and 1986.

In 1990 Joachim Hunger, who worked as a doctor, had an accident on his bike in Berlin.
