Joachim Müller (born March 25, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player.

Career

Joachim Müller came to the Stuttgarter Kickers from the youth of VfR Heilbronn . Due to his achievements, Müller had 14 youth internationals for the German Football Association . He led the A-Juniors of the Kickers as captain in the 1978/79 season to the German championship. His teammates included Andreas Hägele , Peter Schulz , Zvonko Kurbos , Wolfgang Dienelt and the later world champion Guido Buchwald .

As a result of these achievements, he came to his first appearance in the professional Kickers team in the following season, when he was substituted on on September 8, 1979 in the 2nd Bundesliga South encounter against 1. FC Saarbrücken . 119 more appearances in the first team jersey followed.

In 1986 he switched to Kickers Offenbach for which he played for two more years.
