Wolfgang Dienelt (born April 24, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player .

Athletic career

Wolfgang Dienelt started playing football for the youth of FC Rastatt 04 and then switched to the youth of the Stuttgarter Kickers . There he was German A youth champion in the 1978/79 season . Dienelt's header in the 7-2 victory in the first leg of the semi-final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern was voted Goal of the Month . His teammates included Joachim Müller , Andreas Hägele , Zvonko Kurbos , Peter Schulz and the later world champion Guido Buchwald .

In the following years he played, together with some other players of the A youth championship team, in the amateur team of the Stuttgarter Kickers . On May 31, 1980 he made his debut in the professional team in the 2-0 home win of the Kickers against SC Freiburg . However, he was not able to earn a permanent place permanently and was often used by the amateurs. After his time with the Kickers, Dienelt returned to his home club in Rastatt. After three more seasons in Rastatt, the striker moved to FC Marbach , for whom he played over 200 times.
