Joachim Peter Kastner
Peter Joachim Kastner (born November 18, 1947 in Dinslaken ) is a German artist , sculptor , university professor and author .
Live and act
Kastner graduated from high school in 1966. He then studied sculpture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Manfred Sieler and Erwin Heerich . In 1974 he became a master student of Heerich. In 1979 Peter Kastner received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Düsseldorf . From 1980 to 1998 he ran a studio in Krefeld . In 1987 he received his habilitation.
Since 1990 Kastner has been a lecturer at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, since 1992 visiting artist at the Edinburgh College of Art , since 1998 he has owned studios in Düsseldorf and Beckum.
Kastner has been a curator for the Krefelder Kunstverein and the responsible artistic advisor for the Viersen Sculpture Collection since 2006 . He lives in Beckum .
