Joachim Tappe

Joachim Tappe (born March 5, 1942 in Magdeburg ; † June 25, 2012 in Witzenhausen ) was a German teacher and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Tappe lived in Witzenhausen from 1945. After graduating from high school in 1962, he studied pedagogy, German, history and Protestant religion. In 1971 he became the educational director of the comprehensive school in Witzenhausen. He joined the SPD in 1968 and took on various tasks in the local association and local association in Witzenhausen. From 1972 he was involved in local politics in the Witzenhausen city council, and in 1985 he became head of the city council. He has written publications on educational and local historical topics.

From 1990 to 2002 he was a directly elected member of the Werra-Meißner constituency in the German Bundestag .

Tappe was married and had two children. His daughter Julia is married to the district administrator of the Werra-Meißner district , Stefan G. Reuss . In 2006, Tappe received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
