Joachim W. Kadereit
Joachim Walter Kadereit (* 1956 in Hanover ) is a German professor of botany .
biography
Joachim W. Kadereit studied biology at the University of Hamburg and at the University of Cambridge . In 1991 he was appointed to a chair for botany at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz in the department for special botany. He is also the director of the local botanical garden .
Kadereit's main research areas are plant systematics, plant evolution and the biogeography of higher plants.
Joachim W. Kadereit, together with colleagues, is the author of the Strasburger , which is considered the central standard work in botany in biology studies.
