Jeff Rouse

Jeffrey "Jeff" Norman Rouse (born February 6, 1970 in Fredericksburg , Virginia ) is a former American swimmer .

Rouse started out for Stanford University . In 1991 he became world champion over 100 m back . At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he was able to confirm his world championship title with the silver medal over 100 m back, and with the 4 × 100 m individual relay he then achieved the Olympic victory. Four years later at the home games in Atlanta he managed to win the gold medal both over 100 m back and with the individual relay relay.

In 2001 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
