Allen stack
Allen McIntyre Stack (born January 23, 1928 in New Haven , † September 12, 1999 in Honolulu ) was an American swimmer .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 he was Olympic champion over 100 m back . He also set six world records and 22 American records between 1948 and 1951 . At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 he had to compete with an association due to an accident with a motorboat, so that he narrowly missed the medal ranks. In 1979 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
Allen Stack died of bone cancer in 1999.
