Joan Segarra Iracheta (born November 15, 1927 in Barcelona , † September 3, 2008 in Taradell ) was a Spanish football player .

He was the captain of the legendary five-cup Barças, one of the best teams in the history of Barcelona. The great captain , as he is called by the Barcelona fans, won four championships with FC Barcelona between 1950 and 1964, five times the Spanish Cup and twice the Exhibition Cities Cup . The culmination of his career was denied to him: in the final of the European Cup in 1961 Segarra had to pass due to an eye injury; Barcelona eventually lost 3-2 to Benfica Lisbon .
