Hubert Prachensky
Hubert Prachensky (born June 26, 1916 in Innsbruck ; † September 14, 2009 there ) was an Austrian architect .
Life
Prachensky attended the trade school in Innsbruck. After graduating from high school in 1934, he worked for two years with his uncle Wilhelm Nicolaus Prachensky , an architect and painter, and with Franz Baumann . He then began studying architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Clemens Holzmeister , which was interrupted by the Second World War. In 1995 he became a corps bow bearer at Gothia Innsbruck . He remained loyal to the corps until his death. In 1956 he took over the architecture office from his late uncle Wilhelm Nicolaus. In 1973 he was awarded the Ring of Honor of the City of Innsbruck and in 2005 he was made honorary citizenship of the University of Innsbruck .

Prachensky has realized over 500 projects.

- 1963: European Chapel on the Europe Bridge on the Brenner motorway in Schönberg in the Stubai Valley

- 1977: District heating plant Innsbruck (with Ernst Heiss)
- 1980–1982: Cemetery chapel, Mutters forest cemetery
- 1997: Peace Bell of the Alpine Region , Mösern
