Franz Baumann (architect)

Franz Baumann (born March 19, 1892 in Innsbruck ; † August 28, 1974 there ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

Franz Baumann did an internship at the Musch & Lun construction company in Merano from 1910 to 1913 . He was a soldier in the First World War . In 1918 he joined Lois Welzenbacher's newly founded studio . Baumann worked for the construction company Grissemann & Walch from 1919 to 1927 .

He completed his training as a master builder in 1923 . He was a freelance architect from 1927 to 1944. Baumann completed a civil engineering course at the University of Innsbruck in 1937 and worked from 1944 to 1953 in the Innsbruck City Planning Department.
