Job Günter Klink
Job-Günter Klink (born June 2, 1929 in Peiskretscham , Upper Silesia Province ; † March 15, 1980 in Achim ), was a German teacher and head of the University of Education in Bremen .
Life
Klink was the son of a savings bank director and the brother of the later president of the Bremen citizenship Dieter Klink . He attended high school in Katowice . In 1945 the family fled first to Hirschberg in Silesia and then in 1946 to Riede in the Verden district . He attended the Bremen grammar school at Leibnizplatz and graduated from high school. In the meantime the family moved to Bremen. He graduated from the teacher training college .
He worked as a teacher at the school at Buntentor in Bremen- Neustadt . In the 1950s he qualified as a special school teacher at the University of Hamburg . He received his doctorate as Dr. phil.
In 1963, Klink was appointed professor of education at the Bremen University of Education . At the same time he taught at times as a special school teacher. In 1966 he was elected head of the university. He took part in the discussion on teacher training, which was very intense in Bremen when the university was founded. He was a member of the founding committee of the University of Bremen and endeavored to establish a pedagogical faculty . He did not succeed in providing the pedagogy in the new university with the framework he was aiming for.
Honors
The Job-Günter-Klink-Platz in Bremen- Vahr was named after him.
