The Jobo Rinjang is a peak in the Himalayas in the Rolwaling Himal mountain range .
The 6,778 m high Jobo Rinjang forms a south-eastern secondary peak of the Lunag Ri ( 6,895 m ) and is located on a foothill of the main Himalayan ridge not far from the border with Tibet . A 1.8 km long ice ridge leads from Lunag Ri to the pyramidal summit of Jobo Rinjang. The Cho Oyu ( 8188 m ) is about 11 km northeast. On the southern flank of the Jobo Rinjang flowing Lunaggletscher , on the eastern flank of Nangpagletscher . Both glaciers meet southeast of Jobo Rinjang.
Ascent history
On April 22nd, 2009 Joe Puryear and David Gottlieb reached Jobo Rinjang via the 1700 m high south face. In autumn 2012, Chad Kellogg made the second ascent and the first solo ascent of the summit.
