Jochen Bosak

Jochen Bosak (born September 3, 1940 ; † May 3, 2011 in Bielefeld ) was a German pianist of mainstream jazz .

Life

Bosak first worked as a high school teacher for English and French before completing the jazz course at the Cologne University of Music . As a pianist, he was a long-time member of the Cologne Atlanta Jazz Band and the Mülheim Woodhouse Jazz Band . He became known to a larger audience since 1986 as a companion of Helge Schneider on his tours, but also in his film and musical productions. Bosak also performed with Beverly Daley and Daniela Rothenburg and has been part of the Hartmut Tripp Quartet since 2000.
