Jochen Kruse

Jochen Kruse (born June 15, 1955 in Mannheim ) is a German journalist and local politician in Hesse .

Career

Kruse obtained his high school diploma as an exchange student in Rock Island , Illinois, USA , in 1972. After graduating from the Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Rastatt in 1974 , he studied mining at the Clausthal University of Technology from 1975 to 1979 . From 1979 he completed a two-year traineeship in journalism at Motor-Presse-Verlag in Stuttgart and then worked as an editor for the auto magazine mot until 1984 . From 1984 he worked for Adam Opel AG , initially as an editor and later as editor-in-chief of the customer magazine start and the employee magazine Opel Post . As the youngest press spokesman in the automotive industry, he took over the management of the company's main press department in April 1988. In 1991, Kruse moved to ABB in Mannheim and, as an authorized signatory, was responsible for communications in the ABB Transportation division worldwide . On September 1, 1993 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the magazine mot and remained so until 2000. Since 2000, Kruse has been the managing partner of the editorial office of Presse-Partner GmbH.

Kruse joined the SPD in 1982. Since 2006, Kruse has been a member of the community council of Birkenau (Hessen) and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. He is the chairman of the energy committee and deputy. Chairman of the main committee. Since 2006 he has also been a member of the Nieder-Liebersbach local advisory board .

Kruse is married and has three adult children. He has lived in Birkenau since 1985. In the 1990s he took part in automobile races, including five times in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. He is the 2nd chairman of the Nieder-Liebersbach sports association.
